I am actively involved in athletics with a main focus on sprinting, while also competing in canicross in the fall. In recent years, we have increased both the intensity and amount of training significantly – and QWave has been a crucial part of this development.
QWave pads and torch are used both before and after training, and for the treatment of minor and major stress injuries. Red and near-infrared light therapy has given me a whole new level of recovery and injury prevention. The results are clear: my legs feel fresher, can handle more training and I bounce back faster after hard sessions.
I have also struggled a lot with sinusitis and migraines. Here, the TORCH and the Ear, Nose and Throat probe have become invaluable to me. With regular treatment, I experience faster relief when the symptoms first occur, and I don't let them take control of my everyday life.
In canicross, accidents can occasionally occur – both when I stumble in the forest and when my dog gets wounds on his paws. Here, blue light is absolutely fantastic. It helps reduce bacterial growth in the wound and provides faster and safer wound healing, so we can quickly get back to training.
For us, it's a double win because we also use the light mats and torch on our dogs. After hard pulling sessions, PBM treatment results in faster recovery, less stiffness and better mobility – just like with us humans. Even retired dogs greatly benefit from a little extra red light therapy for a body that has worked hard for many years.
Thanks to better recovery and more stable training periods, I have also been able to perform at a whole new level.
And best of all:
All this – completely without medication and without side effects.
Is there anything more a performer could want?
